Features That The Application Would Require
Internet geolocation is software capable of deducing the geographic position of a device connected to the Internet. For example, the device's IP address can be used to determine the country, city, or post/ZIP code, determining an object's geographical location. The app will ask for a Name, Latitude, and Longitudinal and an optional description(e.g., name of temple or other metadata)
GPS NAVIGATION
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based radionavigation system and it is one of the global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) that provides geolocation and time information to a GPS receiver anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. In our app Latitude and Longitude can either be entered manually or by switching on the GPS.Only the GPS will be used to get locations. OSM Tracker’s WiFi-based location feature will be removed. At the app Settings level, there will be an option to set the GPS mode to either Instant or Always On. Selecting the Instant mode will warn the user: “An independent location device is recommended.” In this mode, the device’s GPS will be switched on only for specific operations and then switched off automatically.
